Family Ties provides therapy and advocacy services to child and adult victims of sexual assault, domestic or family violence, and other family crisis issues. We also provide services for the victim's family in order to create a healthy path towards healing.

"Just for Kids" Victim Services for Children & Families:
Specializing in Sexual Assault (Stranger / Non-Stranger), Family Violence, Dating Violence, Bullying, and Other Children's Crisis Issues
Prevention Programs:
D.R.I.V.E. (Developing Respect, Integrity, Vision and Empathy)
The D.R.I.V.E. JUNIOR project is provided to elementary schools in our service area. This project has been running successfully for over five years in Waller, Austin & Harris Counties. The program was established to support parents, schools and communities in building core values that deter violence, build self-esteem, honesty, hope, and concern for others.
The D.R.I.V.E. SENIOR program is provided to junior & senior high schools to prevent dating & sexual violence, drug/alcohol use, gang violence, bullying and other teen issues. This program has been provided successfully to our service area for over 5 years. This program is also state mandated for high schools.
T.L.C. (Teen Leadership Camp)
“Teen Leadership Camp” is held once a week in the summer for seven weeks and continues many of the healthy relationships skills, provided through the D.R.I.V.E program during the school year. These groups include: Healthy Relationships (social skills building), Anger Management, Good Grief, and “Planning for Success”, which teaches organizational skills for keeping up with assignments, grades, and important paperwork. The “Leadership” project is held all year round and is a prevention group to combat bullying, dating violence, truancy, suicide, as well as drug, alcohol, and tobacco use and abuse.
Kids First and Kids First for Kids (Co-Parenting and Parental Separation Education)
Court Ordered / Texas required education for divorcing or separated parents in building skills to Co-Parent effectively to provide a safe and healthy environment for their children.
We also provide Kids First for Kids. Psycho-education class to allow children the opportunity to talk about how they feel during the divorce process and how they can express those feelings.

The Youth intervention Project is still in the stages of development and piloting, however, we are encouraged by the outcomes of the work being done in the areas of Teen Family Violence, Anger Management, and Positive Teen Parenting including:
