Primary Prevention Program:
Providing communities with the knowledge to build awareness and education.
D.R.I.V.E. (Developing Respect, Integrity, Vision, and Empathy) Program
The Teen Leadership Camp and Youth Leadership Camp is held once a week for seven weeks during the summer, continuing the healthy relationship skills taught in the D.R.I.V.E. program. The camp includes sessions on Healthy Relationships (social skills building), Anger Management, Good Grief, and “Planning for Success,” which focuses on organizational skills for managing assignments, grades, and important paperwork. The year-round "Leadership" project combats bullying, dating violence, truancy, suicide, and substance abuse.
Kids First and Kids First for Kids (Co-Parenting and Parental Separation Education)
Our Kids First program provides court-ordered, Texas-required education for divorcing or separated parents, helping them develop skills to co-parent effectively and ensure a safe, healthy environment for their children. Additionally, Kids First for Kids offers psycho-education classes that give children a platform to express their feelings about the divorce process and learn healthy ways to cope.
- D.R.I.V.E. JUNIOR -The D.R.I.V.E. JUNIOR project serves elementary schools within our service area, including Waller, Austin, and Harris Counties. Running successfully for over five years, this program supports parents, schools, and communities in fostering core values that deter violence, build self-esteem, and promote honesty, hope, and empathy.
- D.R.I.V.E. SENIOR - The D.R.I.V.E. SENIOR program targets junior and senior high schools, addressing issues such as dating and sexual violence, drug and alcohol use, gang violence, bullying, and other teen-related challenges. This state-mandated program has been successfully implemented in our service area for over five years.
